Based in Berlin as of 2013, Lilian has been part of the hardcore\/punk\/alternative community since late 90\u2019s. Born and raised in Brazil, she has already played in five bands (drums, bass or vocals) so far. Her first interest in music as a lifestyle came when she discovered the Riot Grrrl movement, and later the vegan sxe hardcore scene.<\/p>\n

The first bands she fell in love with were Kittie, Team Dresch, Walls of Jericho, Bikini Kill, The Wage of Sin, Most Precious Blood and Point Of No Return.<\/p>\n

As representation has always been important to her, she soon began organizing D.I.Y. concerts in her hometown (Porto Alegre), which always brought women to the stage. Following this idea, in early 2000\u2019s she founded a D.I.Y. record label that would release tapes\/CD-R at the time, as well as write a Fanzine, based on the same idea.<\/p>\n

Nowadays, her sense of representation in the alternative music scene goes beyond the gender she identifies with. After moving to Berlin, she has organized shows for bands like \u201cIron\u201d from Sweden, \u201cVales\u201d and \u201cBest of Enemies\u201d from the UK, as well as local bands such as \u201cAnti-Corpos\u201d.<\/p>\n

During the 2021 quarantine period, she founded MY PEOPLE RECORDS, a D.I.Y. RECORD LABEL, aiming to highlight bands with BIPoC, Women identified and\/or LGBT*I Queer members primarily. The idea behind MPR was never just to release records. That’s how MY PEOPLE FEST came to life.<\/p>\n

Lilian lebt seit 2013 in Berlin und war seit Ende der 1990er Jahre Teil der brasilianischen Hardcore\/Punk\/Alternative-Community. In Brasilien geboren und aufgewachsen, spielte sie bisher bereits in f\u00fcnf verschiedenen Bands (Schlagzeug, Bass oder Gesang). Ihr erstes Interesse an Musik als Lebensstil kam, als sie die Riot Grrrl-Bewegung und sp\u00e4ter die vegane SxE-Hardcore-Szene f\u00fcr sich entdeckte.<\/p>\n

Die ersten Bands, in die sich Lillian verliebte, waren Kittie, Team Dresch, Walls of Jericho, Bikini Kill, The Wage of Sin, Most Precious Blood und Point Of No Return.<\/p>\n

Da ihr Repr\u00e4sentation schon immer wichtig war, organisierte sie schon bald, D.I.Y. Konzerte in ihrer Heimatstadt (Porto Alegre), bei denen sie immer wieder Frauen auf die B\u00fchne brachte. Dieser Idee folgend, gr\u00fcndete sie Anfang der 2000er Jahre ein kleines Plattenlabel, das damals Kassetten\/CD-Rs ver\u00f6ffentlichte und ein Fanzine schrieb, das auf der gleichen Idee basierte.<\/p>\n

Heute geht ihr Gef\u00fchl f\u00fcr Repr\u00e4sentation in der alternativen Musikszene \u00fcber das Geschlecht hinaus, mit dem sie sich selbst identifiziert. Nach ihrem Umzug nach Berlin organisierte sie Shows f\u00fcr Bands wie \u201eIron\u201c aus Schweden, \u201eVales\u201c und \u201eBest of Enemies\u201c aus Gro\u00dfbritannien sowie f\u00fcr lokale Bands wie \u201eAnti-Corpos\u201c.<\/p>\n

W\u00e4hrend der Pandemie Zeit 2021 gr\u00fcndete sie MY PEOPLE RECORDS, ein D.I.Y. RECORD LABEL, das darauf abzielt, Bands mit BIPoC-, frauen und\/oder LGBT*I-Queer-Mitgliedern hervorzuheben. Die Idee hinter MPR war nie nur, Platten zu ver\u00f6ffentlichen, sondern auch Shows zu organisieren und Menschen zusammenzubringen. So entstand MY PEOPLE FEST.<\/p>\n
